Bringing Yoga to Austin, One Child at a Time.

I am Krista Phillips, an educator with 7 years of experience teaching in the Montessori and Reggio Emilia traditions. After years of incorporating yoga, breath awareness and relaxation techniques into my classroom curriculum, I became a Certified YogaKids Facilitator, Certified Dharma Yoga Teacher at the 200 hour level, and am a Certified Relax and Renew (Restorative) Yoga Teacher.  In short, I believe that the benefits of yoga are readily available to people of all ages...

Currently, I am focusing my efforts on working with the children and families at Terra Luz Progressive Preschool.  Terra Luz is an amazing Reggio-inspired program located in North Austin.  I first met the owner, Andrea Gaudin-Triche, when she attended one of my workshops.  We connected through our love of Early Childhood Education and the Reggio Emilia philosophy, and soon, I was offering weekly yoga classes for the children at TL.  The program has gained recognition and status as the premier Reggio-inspired program in Austin, and I am happy to be a part of the school.  I am now a full-time member of the teaching staff.  In addition to teaching in the classroom, I also offer daily yoga classes for the children, and teach a weekly restorative yoga class for Terra Luz parents.
